July, August & September

I guess this is now a quarterly blog, instead of a monthly one!! I really thought I had only missed one month, but alas, here I am, ready to update you with all the goings on of the Bevans' lives!!

We ended the summer with a busy August. Corinne went to soccer camp for a week. Trevor and I were away for a few days completing a Tough Mudder. The girls and Lincoln had a fabulous time with Grammy Robin and GG (Great Grammy Henderson). They went to see Mary Poppins at Bowdoin College, made cookies, and enjoyed some pool time. Trevor and I had a great time at the race and were very appreciative of the Grammy's watching all four kiddos for us.

Lincoln had his first camping trip on Labor Day weekend. We spent the long weekend in New Hampshire with the Pelletiers, swimming, hiking and enjoying time just relaxing by the fire.

School has been a whirlwind so far. I started in a new grade at a new school and am working on managing my time between that, four kiddos and Trevor. I absolutely love it there and the awesome staff.

Lincoln is doing really well at daycare. He's started to eat solids and likes cauliflower, sweet potatoes, and carrots. His laugh and smile are constant and infectious. He couldn't be a happier baby!

Sophie is LOVING school! She goes three mornings a week and is learning her letters and how to write her name. She told me other night, (right after Ayla did) that she has "homework and a project due from my teacher." She is a little sponge and so wants to the big girl that her sisters are.

Ayla has started gymnastics and Girl Scouts again. She enjoys both and is off to a really good start in fourth grade. She is learning sign language from her teacher, who has nothing but positive things to say about her.

Corinne loves junior high, although says the schedule and changing classes can be confusing. She is getting the hang of it and really enjoys foreign language, band, chorus and of course Language Arts, where her teacher couldn't be more impressed with her writing ability. She is playing soccer this season and is enjoying the co-ed 6th-8th grade team she is on.

Trevor completed the first ever Bone Frog Challenge, which is a nine mile, 36 obstacle course designed by Navy SEALs. The kids and I hiked all over the mountain to cheer him on at different obstacles and even managed the chair lift! He placed 23rd out of 282 finishers. Go Daddy!

Trevor and the rest of his team from his office spent a long weekend in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico at a conference connecting with other chiropractors from around the world. The kids and I partied hard while he was gone with chocolate chip pancakes, the library, pizza in the living room watching a movie and making chocolate covered rice krispie squares.

Jamie Richards, a chiropractor friend of Trevor's, came from London, Ontario to speak at a chiropractic monthly meeting. He spent the night with us and I had the pleasure of attending the meeting to listen to him. He was captivating and charismatic. He left Trevor and I both wishing he could have stayed longer.

Whew! I think that's it in a nutshell! Until the next quarterly report, I wish you love, light and happiness!
