I know always say this, but seriously, this month flew by! Although, it seems like we are always busy, I don't have a lot to report this month.
Corinne has started basketball again and so far is enjoying the 5th/6th grade coed team. Last year it was all girls, so it's definitely more aggressive with boys in the mix. Ayla is enjoying Girl Scouts and looking forward to going caroling and having a sleepover this weekend. Sophie is as talkative and active as ever.
As far as Trevor and I go, there isn't much news. I've been feeling the baby move a lot and Trevor and I have had the excitement of actually seeing the movement on my belly! I'm officially six months and with all the movement and our recent Birthplace tour of the hospital, the reality of having a baby is finally setting in!
I feel like there should be more to say, but I looked over my calendar and I think I've covered it all. There will be lots to share at the beginning of January, since December is shaping up to be a very busy and fun month!

October Update
Another month has flown by and people are already talking about
Christmas!! Before we know it, we'll have a new addition to our family!
Still seems surreal!
Corinne and Ayla finished soccer this month and we're happy to temporarily have our Saturday mornings back and less hectic week nights. Corinne loved soccer and is going to play on Saturday mornings in Topsham on a 4th/5th grade co-ed team. She's also looking forward to basketball starting at the end of November.
Ayla is officially a Brownie Girl Scout. She had her induction ceremony a few weeks ago and did a great job with their first fundraiser, selling candy, nuts and magazines. She's looking forward to a sleepover this month and earning more badges.
Sophie had a great time celebrating a friend's birthday at Pineland Farms. She had a chance to see a baby calf that was born just that morning, collect chicken eggs, pet pigs and see geese. She was too scared to milk the cow, but agreed to come in and watch me do it. She loved it when one of the calves licked her.
For Halloween, Corinne was Artemis, the Greek Goddess of Hunting, Ayla was an angel and Sophie was a dragon. We had a great time at the parade checking out everyone's costumes. When Trevor got home from work we all went trick or treating in a nearby neighborhood that turned out to be a great spot. The girls came home with a ton of candy that we'll probably still be eating at Christmas time.

September News
We have to share some big news right off, that most of you are probably very well aware of. We're having a baby!! I'm due April 2nd and all five of us are super excited! Sophie is ready to give any and everything of hers that is too small, to the baby and asks daily if she will be able to hold the baby by herself. She announced to Trevor at last weekend's soccer game (quite loudly I might add), "Daddy, we're going to have a baby soon, but the baby isn't going to pop out of Mommy's belly, it's just going to pop out of her 'gina." Oh boy. =)
Other than that, September had all the rush, excitement and time constraints that come with school starting. Summer already feels so far away and the girls are ready for snow so they can ski. The girls both really like their teachers and their classes and are doing great! They are both playing soccer. Corinne really enjoys it and practices at home. Ayla enjoys soccer as well, but doesn't seem to be as enthusiastic about it.
Ayla is really excited about joining Girl Scouts this year! She is well on her way to earning a free week at camp by selling nuts, candy and magazines! (Let me know if you're interested- it can be done online!) She has a very active group and is looking forward to spending a night in Boston at the Museum of Science, camping, and a bunch of other fun activities.
Corinne started band at school and is practicing the clarinet every day. She's sounding pretty good so far and it's nice that she practices all on her own with out reminders. Now that Ayla is in 3rd grade she is able to be in Chorus, so we look forward to her concerts.
Sophie has learned all the seasons and knows the correct order of them as well. She's learning how to count and write numbers. She talks non-stop whether someone is listening or not. =)
Make it a great October!!

August Update
Whew! The summer flew by! I can't believe it's September and we're back in school!
Corinne started the month with basketball camp at Bowdoin College and had a great time. Her "report card" at the end commended her on her great attitude and increased skill level.
Ayla went to art camp in Yarmouth and impressed us at her art show with her mobile, paintings, and fairy houses. She made a bird nest out of seaweed, complete with handmade bird eggs. She loved being able to swim, as the camp was on an island in Yarmouth.
Sophie didn't attend any camps, but she left the steps and started swimming in the pool! She is now comfortable swimming with her life jacket or in her inflatable donkey ring. Her personality is more and more animated every day!
Grandma Connie came for a visit in mid-August and the girls had an absolute blast with her! They had water balloon fights (which Trevor and I were victims of), swam in the pool, ate gelato in the park, played at the beach and just acted silly together. We miss her already!
We went camping in Kennebunk at the beginning of July for a family reunion. Uncle Jeremy, Aunt Amanda, Ava and Owen stayed with us at the campground and we all had a great time staying up late and sleeping in the tent.
Ayla had several girls over to swim, eat cake and ice cream and play yard games for her birthday party. All of the girls had lots of fun and Ayla was a gracious hostess!
We went camping Labor Day weekend at Cupsuptic Lake with three other families. The kids had a blast running around the campground, swimming, and eating smores. We went on a great hike up Bald Mountain, which had amazing views from a tower at the top.
The school year is off to a great start and both the girls really enjoy their teachers. I look forward to updating you in another month!

June & July Update
So, I'm officially Jenn Bevans! YAY! =)
For everyone who was at our wedding on July 7th, I hope you thought it was truly amazing and as perfect as Trevor and I did! We loved absolutely everything about the entire day and have already discussed if we could do it all over again, we would do it exactly the same way! Thank you for everyone who was able to share our day with us!
Obviously, I have been a little busy which is why this is a combined June and July update! June flew by with wedding preparations, school ending and various celebrations. One big celebration was Sophie's 3rd birthday on June 15th. We celebrated with friends and family around the pool. She is talking up a storm and getting braver swimming on the steps.
Corinne's birthday was a while ago, but she was able to celebrate again when her and Grammy Robin went to see Mama Mia in Boston. They had a fabulous time, despite the confusion of the city! =) It was her first time riding the T and seeing a musical. They came back in one piece and had a lot of great stories to tell!
I had the opportunity to teach a class to teacher's in my district on how to use an Interactive White Board at the end of June. I had a great time and realized teaching adults is a little different than teaching 10 year olds!
Gay arrived at the end of June and stayed with us for three weeks to help with the wedding and the girls. I can't thank her enough for everything she did and how easy she made things for Trevor and I.
July was kick started with our wedding and honeymoon to Franconia Notch, NH. Trevor and I both exclaimed how wonderful it was to read for hours without feeling guilty about not doing housework, attending to the girls or doing something work related. We had a great time hiking, biking, camping, and relaxing. A black bear visited our campsite and drooled all over our s'more packages, but thankfully we were able to scare him away without losing anything. We wish we had thought to get the camera out for proof! We had fun swimming in the waterfalls on the Kancamagus Highway and also enjoyed North Conway.
We're settling back into our "normal" summer routine, which consists of remembering which fun activity we're doing next! Trevor and I took Corinne and Ayla to Water Country last week and had a BLAST!! We ran from water slide to water slide for 8 hours! We loved the black tube rides and the family raft ones that we could all ride on together.
We had a great visit with Grampy and Grammy Benn last week. We are loving being able to have friends and family over to swim! The pool is proving to be a great source of entertainment and fun! The girls also got new bikes from Grandpa Dave and are looking forward to learning how to ride them. Trevor and I would love to take them to Bar Harbor and ride the carriage trails.
Corinne is excited for basketball camp soon and Ayla is looking forward to art camp. We're also really excited to visit with Grandma Connie in a couple of weeks. Sophie has been asking me daily if Grandma is on the plane yet. =)
My brother, sister-in-law, Trevor and I raced in the Tough Mountain Challenge at Sunday River last weekend. The race is a 5k up and down a mountain and consists of 16 obstacles! We had a blast getting muddy, wet, bruised, cut and exhausted. Unfortunately, on our way out, Trevor turned his ankle wrong going down the stairs too fast in flip flops. He is recovering from an avulsion fraction and badly sprained ankle. I was going to lie and say it was during the race, but figured the truth would get out eventually. =)
I'm sure I'm forgetting something fun that we did in the past two months, but it's been a whirlwind! Check out the hundreds of pictures we've put on FB!

May Update
Whew! What a whirlwind! We have been so busy this past month!
Corinne has been playing lacrosse when it hasn't been raining, which seems like most of her practice days. She had a tournament today in Falmouth and did a great job! It rained the whole time, but nobody seemed to mind! This was her first year playing lacrosse and she really enjoyed it. She's looked forward to swimming in the pool this summer and basketball camp.
Ayla did well in her dance recital. Grammy Robin, Aunt Amanda, Ava, Owen, Corinne, Sophie and I were all there to cheer her on. Unfortunately, Daddy and Pop Pop were home working on replacing our well and building a deck! She is looking forward to a week of art camp this summer and also swimming in the pool.
Sophie continues to do great with her big girl underwear. She went on a field trip to Wolfe's Neck Farm and loved seeing all the animals. We pass a farm on the way to daycare and she never fails to yell, "Look at the sheeps!!!" =) She is excited about her third birthday coming up. She told me today she really wants a rhino. We'll see about a stuffed one! We're going to celebrate her birthday on Father's Day and Uncle Jeremy's birthday with everyone at our house for a pool party! Trevor plans to run the Father's Day race in the morning, so we'll see if he can beat my Mother's Day time, since it's the exact same course.
Other than not having water and replacing our well pump and filter, Memorial Day weekend was great! Trevor and Mark built a new deck, which gives us much more space around the pool. We managed to put in all the chemicals we needed and the pool is looking good! We've had friends over to enjoy it and look forward to many more get togethers this summer.
Only one more month, until I'm Mrs. Bevans! Everything is pretty much in order and I have many people to thank for all their help!! We can't wait to enjoy the day with family and friends!

April Update
I can't believe it's April vacation! Sophie and I have had a busy week, even though Corinne and Ayla have been visiting with Deb, Brian, Isabelle and Griffin since Monday. On Monday, we went to the park, out to lunch and walked around the back bay with Aunt Amanda, Ava, Owen, my friend Emily and her 9 month old, Chase. The weather was great and we had a lot of fun!
Sophie is officially a BIG GIRL! She started wearing underwear last Saturday and has only had a few accidents. She is also in her big girl bed. She is more talkative than ever and is also spending a lot of time reading and singing.
Corinne is excited to be starting lacrosse next week. She has had one quick practice with her team and coach. She has her mouth guard, stick and ball ready to go! Trevor and I were also excited to find out (although not surprised) that Corinne has been nominated for the Gifted & Talented Program for Language Arts. We have some paperwork to fill out, so I'm not sure exactly what this will mean at school yet. Corinne did very well on her report card and continues to read 10 books at a time!
Ayla has been at a ballet studio since November. She is looking forward to her recital in May and showing us what she's been working on. She also did very well on her report card. Her teacher commented on how focused and hard working she is. Ayla said because she's listening and following directions so much at school, that sometimes she forgets when she's at home. Huh, sounds about right. =)
Trevor and I are busy, busy, busy with wedding preparations! Who knew there were so many things to think about?! We can't wait to spend a fun filled day with family and friends! I am finally done with my classes and officially have my master's degree! We're excited about opening the pool soon and Trevor has been busy with yard work.
Only 39 days left of school, not that anyone's counting!! Summer is almost here!!

To start off...
My goal is to post once a month to keep everyone updated on what Trevor, the girls and I are up to. Time always fly by and I realize so much has happened and I forget who I've shared what with. My poor sister hears most of my stories three times, while some of you don't hear them at all!
I hope all of you enjoy the posts!
